ICEBERG LUFFY

MegaCon
May 26-29
The Iceberg Luffy Experience
I arrived Early Thursday as I often do with four day conventions. This time I had the Orlando based team with me. Which was a great help throughout this convention as its attendance numbers easily exceeded 100,000 attendees. There were various things to do from all day gaming, insightful panels, and a great artist alley.

Upon meeting up with the team, we treaded artist alley for a few hours. The Dealer Hall is so big it takes just that long to walk the whole alley, couple that with thousands of attendees in one area and you realize that the dealer hall is one of the most busiest places as it is one of the first things to open and it closes when the convention ends for the day. From 10AM-7PM there was a constant barrage of people.

At the Dealer Hall you will almost any item you can imagine, from shirts, and art, to full on star wars light-sabers. In the dealer court was a great food vending area.

If the food wasn’t sufficient inside the dealer hall then there was another food court which offered a different assortment of food. There really was a lot of options available. If you had access to a form of transportation, you could also go to great nearby restaurants. With great food, and art, you have to have great panels. Megacon 2016 does not disappoint in this area.

What’s one of the main reasons attendees go to panels? You guessed it, its the guests. Great guests often time make for great panels, due to there experience and prestige so who did Megacon bring to the convention that had many fans clamoring to meet them? The truth is Megacon bought many guests of that caliber. However one of the most notable guests was Stan Lee. The Crater of Spiderman, the X-Men, The Hulk, Thor, and Iron Man amongst many others. The line was out the door just to get a glimpse of this iconic figure stan Lee. The Line could hardly contain it’s excitement. Rather they wanted a photo, an autograph, or just to attend his panel, it was a great sight to see at Megacon 2016.

The next panel line that I just had to make a video of on the spot, was the line to get into the Fairy Tail Q&A with Jamie March, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Tod Haberkorn and Monica Rial. If you were not in line early, you would not have a spot. The Q&A was met with eager smiling faces and and an astronomically large amount of cameras.Todd Haberkorn was hilarious all the way though using his Natsu character voice made him really stand out. From there reactions during the Q&A one could really see that this group of voice acting powerhouses enjoy what they do.

The Next panel that I viewed was the Dragon Ball Z Mega-panel. It featured Eric Vale the voice of Future Trunks Ryo Horikawa, the Japanese voice of Vageta, Sean Schemel the voice of Goku and the panel added an extra guess with Monica Rial who is a voice of Bulma in DBZ Kai crashed the party.
